About the Role
This role is an essential part of the Payroll team, supporting accurate and timely payment of employees. You will assist in the full end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and serve various stakeholders including the Reward Team, People Services Team, treasury, and employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the timely and accurate processing of monthly payrolls.
- Assist with the processing and distribution of all P11D/P60s.
- Assist with the starters and leavers process from a payroll perspective.
- Ensure payroll variations are up to date, including additions, deductions, and variable pay issues.
- Collate and process all overtime hours.
- Assist with monthly pension and workplace benefits processes.
- Resolve payroll queries within set SLAs.
- Issue all leaver payslips and P45s.
- Administer and manually calculate statutory leave (SAP, SPP, SMP, SSP, SHPP).
- Administer enhanced leave.
- Administer and manually calculate sick leave SSP, CSP.
- Carry out checks to ensure NMW/NLW compliance.
- Distribute court order remittances.
- Manage all incoming HMRC notifications.
- Handle post-payroll reporting.
- Carry out general administrative tasks to assist the finance team.
- Perform final payroll checks prior to payroll sign-off.
- Assist the payroll manager in payroll sign-off creation.
- Assist with process refinement and implementation.
Requirements

- Proven payroll experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Initiative to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience as a team player thriving in a challenging environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
