About the Role
As a Demand Planner, you will shape Ferrero's demand forecast across the UK & Ireland, ensuring product availability and supply chain efficiency. You will analyze sales trends, customer demand, and market intelligence to build accurate forecasts supporting the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to understand demand patterns, promotions, and new product launches, driving better business decisions and improving forecast accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts reflecting sales activity, market trends, promotional plans, and business assumptions.
- Review forecasts, analyze performance against budget and historical trends, and identify risks and opportunities impacting product availability or customer service.
- Participate in monthly Demand Consensus and S&OP processes, preparing analysis and supporting forecast reviews.
- Ensure new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional activity are accurately reflected in the demand plan.
- Produce reporting and analysis using SAP APO, Demantra, and Microsoft Excel to monitor forecast accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
- Contribute to budget planning, scenario modeling, and demand planning improvements.
Requirements
- Commercially aware and analytically minded individual with a passion for forecasting and planning.
- Ability to interpret trends, challenge assumptions, and translate insights into recommendations.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using forecasting and planning systems such as SAP APO and Demantra is ideal.
- Previous experience within Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, or a similar analytical role, preferably within an FMCG or retail environment.
- Confident communicator skilled in building relationships and influencing stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, balancing attention to detail with a proactive approach.
- Motivated by delivering accurate forecasts to ensure product availability and operational excellence.
