About the Role
We are seeking an Intermediate/Senior Air Quality Engineer to join our Atmospheric Services team, specializing in atmospheric and acoustic solutions that safeguard project compliance and community well-being. This is a new position based out of any of our Ontario offices, offering flexible work hours and hybrid work arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and execution of high-value engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with internal experts to deliver holistic solutions.
- Manage air quality projects for various facilities (oil and gas, aggregate, power generation, industrial/manufacturing, municipal), transportation projects, and Land Use Compatibility assessments.
- Interpret client needs and develop science-based solutions.
- Utilize AI-enabled tools for design and problem-solving.
- Proactively seek and cultivate new business opportunities aligned with sustainability goals.
- Provide strategic leadership to strengthen client relationships and develop proposals.
- Travel to other Dillon offices to support collaboration and growth.
- Commit to self-development and ongoing professional learning.
- Mentor junior staff in data science and digital project delivery.
- Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through professional associations.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice as a professional engineer or eligible to register.
- Proven expertise in air quality, typically developed through 10+ years of experience in consulting or related fields, with a track record of technical leadership.
- Experience in air quality related work, including understanding of federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations pertaining to air quality.
- Experience preparing emission summary and dispersion modelling reports (ESDM) and other air impact assessments.
- Proven abilities in project teamwork, team leadership, and client relationship building.
- Demonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary project teams and driving business development.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a solution-oriented consulting environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.
