About the Role

As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient experiences and delivering exceptional clinical and professional leadership to the team within the Urgent Care Centre.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and deputising for the Department Manager on supervising daily operations, clinical leadership and management within the Urgent Care Centre.
• Ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and experience.
• Acting as an expert practitioner, supporting the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Providing clinical guidance and leadership to the wider nursing team.
• Acting as a role model to support staff development.
• Overseeing the smooth running of the department.
• Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to maintain excellence in patient care.
• Driving continuous improvement across the service.
• Ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained through rigorous monitoring of both personal and clinical team competence.
• Implementing evidence-based practices.
• Adhering to policy and guidelines.
• Fostering development initiatives.
• Delivering high-quality service to patients, their families and other stakeholders.
• Promoting the Unit within Princess Grace Hospital, HCA and external referrers.
• Participating in relevant forums to drive continuous improvement and service growth.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar setting (Urgent Care, Accident & Emergency).
• Experience leading and developing nursing teams.
