About the Role

The Total Gas & Chemical Management (TGCM) Operations group provides semiconductor manufacturing customers with on-site, safe, reliable, and cost-effective management of essential gases and chemicals. This role involves operating and maintaining gas and chemical distribution equipment and systems 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment
• Perform intermediate gas/chemical troubleshooting and repair of delivery equipment
• Perform daily rounds including recording readings, completing safety inspections, monitoring online gas and chemical systems, verifying toxic gas monitoring operations, and completing chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder change-outs
• Verify that daily rounds are recorded and determine corrective action for abnormal parameters
• Monitor and understand correct liquid bulk delivery procedures for each product on site
• Perform bulk gas and chemical trailer transfers
• Provide information for and initiate proper reporting procedures per on-site policies
• Assist in the identification and resolution of gas/chemical-related manufacturing problems
• Act as Emergency Response Team member/leader
• Commission and start up specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment
• Satisfactorily complete TGCM Tech 7 local OJT and qualification requirements
• Issue Hazardous Work Permits
• Act as primary customer shift interface
• Restart all high purity gas and/or chemical delivery equipment
• Participate in customer and Air Liquide programs
• Support training of TGCM contractors and TGCM Tech 5 & 6 employees
• Develop and maintain applicable site-specific work instructions
• Comply with all applicable HS&E Standards
• Complete assigned tasks per existing procedures
• Perform minor analytical procedures and/or sampling procedures
• Accountable for the safety of all persons and the general public surrounding facilities
• Ensure proper transfer of materials to the dock hazardous waste storage area
• Follow proper procedures for handling spills/emergencies, pour-up of materials, segregation of compatible materials, preparation for waste/containers for shipment, and forklift operation
• Support waste minimization programs/activities, and maintain understanding of applicable hazardous waste laws

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent OR 5+ years of relevant experience
• 4+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
• Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment
• Knowledge of all proper reporting procedures per onsite operations policy
• Demonstrate ability to coordinate and supervise a group of technicians on a project
• Electro-mechanical aptitude
• Display aptitude for controlling an emergency situation and coordinating problem solving actions
• Able to understand and abide by stringent safety rules
• Demonstrate ability to train junior technicians
• Ability to lift 60 lbs
• Ability to stand/walk up to 10 hours per day
• Ability to operate hydraulic foot pump
• Requires constant bending to successfully complete shift tasks
• Ability to wear a respirator as part of required PPE for certain job tasks
