About the Role
This role is responsible for managing vendor relationships, ensuring quality standards, and optimizing costs within the distribution center operations. The specialist will drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure stable operations by effectively communicating with and managing third-party service providers.
Responsibilities
- Track KPIs accurately and identify issues for resolution with third-party providers.
- Improve productivity and reduce costs using methodologies like Lean.
- Implement preventive and corrective actions to meet damage and error rate targets.
- Collaborate with third-party managers on initiatives like Good Saves and 5S.
- Respond flexibly to business needs and handle irregular requests.
- Acquire knowledge of EHS, SOx, and relevant regulations, and ensure understanding by third-party leaders and teams.
- Support third-party providers in establishing procedures based on internal regulations.
- Act as a liaison for training and manage changes from international sources, manufacturers, and domestic updates.
- Coordinate and negotiate with various departments to facilitate business improvement projects with third-party providers.
- Participate in supplier selection, contracting, and manage third-party providers and suppliers in coordination with procurement.
- Monitor purchase order balances and ensure compliance with established standards.
- Identify priorities in warehouse and delivery operations and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Participate in internal change management processes involving operational changes, leading collaboration and information sharing within the team and with other DC members.
Requirements
- Experience in the healthcare business is desirable.
- Experience in a supply chain role is desirable.
