About the Role
Join Secure Transformation Services, the UK market leading team for sovereign tech transformation at secure clients working on projects in complex, regulated, public sector environments. We deliver services that make a lasting impact by improving users lives, making our country safer and enabling business to evolve. We are expanding the STS Business Analysis team to shape new ambitious and business critical products and experiences for users of both public and private sector clients.
Responsibilities
- Play an important role in bridging the gap between all business stakeholders, both internal and external, including Sales, Project Management, Technical Architecture, Development, QA Testing, and service support colleagues.
- Take ownership to understand the change needs of our clients, investigate business problems and opportunities, and facilitate the delivery of appropriate changes through the application of business analysis techniques and documentation.
- Perform discoveries and are comfortable with planning, conducting, analysing and communicating findings that ground design decisions against user needs.
- Elaborate epics and user stories from high level concepts to 'playable' units of work for the Developers.
- Craft and translate business needs into traceable requirements and show evidence how the solutions meet the required needs with measurable value and business priority.
- Comfortable working with the team reshaping user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with the Design and Research team, notably User Researchers and Service Designers, and integrate and enable user research as part of elaboration and continuous improvement.
- Assist the / Delivery Manager / Scrum Master with maintenance of physical and digital Agile boards.
- Articulate the definition of ready/done, user story kick-off and sign-off and requirements for UAT.
- Work with other Business Analysts, Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Technical Leads and QA and external stakeholders on site.
- Act as an advocate for best practice and promote business analysis across Secure Transformation Services.
Requirements
- Must have satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance.
- Requires 5 years continuous UK address history (typically including no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside of the UK).
- Requires declaration of being a British passport holder with no dual nationalism at the point of application.
- Intellectually curious, creative problem solver and passionate about solving business problems by creating inclusive, accessible services for a diverse user population.
- Collaborative and supportive, and enjoy working in a dynamic and creative environment.
- Comfortable working with different technical experts being part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Keen to be up-to-date with AI advancements and passionate to steer clients to take advantage of AI, and how AI can bring efficiencies to your ways of working.
- Co-creator with stakeholders and users. Relish participation of stakeholders and the wider team and have experience leading workshops and broader inclusive design initiatives.
- Great with stakeholders and an engaging communicator, able to speak fluently to businesspeople, designers, engineers and other stakeholders.
