About the Role

The Practice Group Analyst supports the firm’s strategic initiatives by maximizing results and increasing the operational effectiveness of practice groups. This role provides support in management reporting, project coordination, and implementation of practice group initiatives, working closely with Practice Group Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Reports and summaries, creating and maintaining spreadsheets and analysis, and preparing presentations.
  • Creates reports and analyses that highlight the performance of the practice group related to budgets, production, fees and revenue.
  • Analyzes and communicates with both internal stakeholders and international colleagues on a variety of topics.
  • Conduct thorough research and data collection to fulfill assignments leveraging firm tools and databases.
  • Coordinates projects and implements best practices in project management.
  • Compiles and analyzes progress reports and/or follows-up with lawyers on matter plans that require modification or communication with clients.
  • Works on special projects in support of the Firm’s strategic initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate practice group meetings, retreats, and operational activities.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting materials, action item trackers, and follow-up communications.
  • Support implementation and monitoring of practice group initiatives and strategic priorities.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among attorneys, business professionals, and practice group leadership.
  • Maintain departmental resources, documentation, SharePoint sites, and workflow tools.
  • Assist with workload tracking, staffing coordination, and resource planning efforts.
  • Support process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency across the practice group.

  • Advanced proficiency needed in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in summarizing and deriving answers from large data sets.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and external audiences.
  • Produce high-quality work and respond to correspondence in an efficient, timely, and professional manner.
  • Meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and commit to meeting high standards.
  • Comply with firm policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidences as required in a law firm environment.
