About the Role
As a Senior Account Manager - Infrastructure & Services, you will identify and develop business potential with new and existing clients in the greater Hamburg area. You will develop sales strategies, manage offers and contract negotiations, and build long-term customer relationships. Your market knowledge will enable you to strategically position our portfolio and actively contribute to the company's success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the sales of infrastructure and service solutions to new and existing clients in the public sector, specifically IT service providers in Northern Germany.
- Identify business potential, build strong customer relationships, and achieve agreed-upon sales targets.
- Holistically manage tenders and offer processes, from bid strategy and calculation to customer presentation.
- Conduct proactive sales and customer campaigns and strategically position our portfolio with relevant decision-makers.
- Prepare for and conduct on-site and remote customer appointments independently, converting identified needs into concrete sales opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Bid Management, PreSales, Delivery, and external partners to develop optimal customer solutions.
- Document sales activities in CRM, ensure high data quality, and regularly report on accounts and opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in sales, account management, or a comparable sales-related function.
- Demonstrable sales success and enjoyment in identifying and expanding new business potential.
- Knowledge of the public sector in Northern Germany, ideally with contacts in public IT service providers.
- Sound knowledge in selling data center infrastructure and a good understanding of data center operations.
- Familiarity with current digitalization topics and developments in the public sector, able to address them in customer discussions.
- Experience with public procurement procedures and tenders, comfortable in the public purchasing environment.
- Proactive, self-reliant, and solution-oriented work approach.
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
