About the Role

Ensure all Cafés run smoothly by taking ownership of a specific café's operations, including ordering, stock management, and guest experience. You will supervise the Barista team, manage shift planning, onboard new staff, and act as a role model.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the café's ordering process using internal forecasting tools and apps.
  • Prepare resupply orders several times a week, ensuring optimal availability and minimal waste.
  • Manage café stock, ensuring all product and ingredient movements are recorded correctly and on time.
  • Train and empower the Barista team to support stock management processes.
  • Elevate the guest experience by ensuring Customer Experience & Hospitality Guidelines are followed.
  • Review customer feedback and implement creative, hospitality-driven actions.
  • Supervise the Cafés and Baristas to ensure required tasks are completed according to standards.
  • Execute shift planning, approve holidays, and find solutions for staff absences.
  • Onboard new staff members, guiding them through their first two weeks.
  • Act as the main point of contact for questions and uphold high standards in customer service, coffee quality, and cleanliness.
  • Conduct 1-on-1s with staff to collect and provide feedback on performance.
  • Trial Barista candidates and provide feedback to HR.
  • Perform regular shifts on bar and cover for team members' absences.
  • Report to the Retail Operations Manager and collaborate with the other Café Supervisor.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Barista with solid specialty coffee and customer service standards and knowledge.
  • Availability to work 40h a week on 5 days across different Cafés.
  • Previous leadership experience is a big plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Outstanding communication skills for channeling issues, solving conflicts, and providing guidance.
  • Empathetic approach and strong teamwork skills.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and proactive approach.
  • Affinity to technology and basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office/GSuite Package.
  • Valid work permit and Rote Karte.
  • At least A2 level in German.
  • Fluency in English.
