About the Role
Paragon Home Healthcare is seeking compassionate, confident, and proactive Live-in Carers/Personal Assistants to support a client in his early 70s who has a high-level spinal cord injury. This physically demanding role requires safe, skilled moving and handling, with full training provided. The role involves supporting the client's daily routine, pressure care, bowel management, and respiratory exercises, while also facilitating community outings. A mature personality with a great sense of humour is essential, as the client enjoys banter and the Carry On films. This is a Live-in PA/Carer role, not a traditional carer-only position.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, and daily living activities.
- Provide support with spinal injury care and encourage independence.
- Observe and record the client’s health status, and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Arrange transportation for appointments, outings, and travel when required.
