About the Role
The Preschool Director oversees the daily operations of an early childhood education center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting children, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day preschool operations, including scheduling, staffing, and program planning
- Supervise, train, and evaluate teaching staff to ensure high-quality instruction and care
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and health safety standards
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with early learning guidelines
- Build positive relationships with families and serve as the primary point of contact
- Oversee enrollment, budgeting, and administrative functions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging facility environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in early childhood education, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
- Previous experience in an early childhood education center required
- Knowledge of state licensing requirements and child development principles
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Commitment to serving/educating children with disabilities
- Previous experience with grant compliance and management a plus
