About the Role

This analyst-level role in the Second Line of Defence (2LOD) Risk team supports governance, assurance, and risk event activities. It offers the opportunity to gain broad experience in risk, compliance, and financial crime while improving processes, controls, and reporting. The role is ideal for a curious individual with strong analytical and organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Embed and manage the new risk event process, including triage, escalation, reporting, and root cause analysis.
  • Manage the central record of Second and Third Line assurance findings.
  • Develop insight-led exception reporting and support business owners with evidence collation and finding closure.
  • Administer the GRC tool, generating reports, escalating items, and maintaining data quality.
  • Manage the Second Line delivery plan, including governance reporting packs and action tracking.
  • Monitor Compliance and Financial Crime monitoring plans and related action tracking.
  • Support process and control testing, root cause analysis, and evidence review with subject matter experts.
  • Help develop and deliver training activities for business stakeholders.
  • Act as a key interface between the business and Group Risk and Compliance.

  • Previous experience of Second Line of Defence activities, supporting first line controls programmes, or hands-on experience using insight and exception reporting.
  • An interest in risk, compliance, financial crime, assurance or internal audit programmes.
  • Understanding of embedding assurance findings into business practices.
  • A track record in driving own development and learning.
