About the Role
This role provides portfolio implementation support within the Public Equities team, focusing on setting up new strategies, managing transitions, and executing trades. The position is a 12-month contract, offering exposure to global markets and industry leaders.
Responsibilities
- Provide portfolio implementation support, including setting up new strategies and portfolios, implementing transitions such as client injections/withdrawals and portfolio restructurings, and executing benchmark changes.
- Coordinate IPO and placement processes, including pre-trade reservations and allocations; collaborate with the Deal team on non-standard deals.
- Assist with trade and portfolio monitoring such as cash monitoring and expected funding for certain transactions.
- Ensure smooth implementation of Portfolio Managers' orders by supporting areas such as setting up new products/instruments, performing pre-funding, clearing governance/investment guidelines, meeting regulatory and compliance requirements and order generation.
- Work with other departments (including trading, risk, audit, legal and compliance) to resolve front office issues and potential roadblocks arising from markets, operational, risk and compliance considerations.
- Attend to other ad hoc requests from the Portfolio Managers, which can be performance and exposure analytics related.
- Participate in process and system improvements initiatives including working with stakeholders on requirements, performing UAT, and coordinating deployments.
Requirements
- Strong academic background or equivalent practical experience
- Knowledge of and interest in Public Equities and Equity markets/instruments will be preferred.
- Good working knowledge with MS Office, in particular MS Excel.
- High level of initiative, meticulous and well-organized, comfortable managing multiple tasks.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong team player with good communication skills and is confident to engage different stakeholders independently.
