About the Role
As a System Administrator / IT Operations Engineer, you will be the central point of contact for all internal IT matters, responsible for daily IT support and ensuring requests are handled efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Handle daily IT support requests independently, thoroughly, and with a focus on solutions, ensuring high quality and clarity.
- Manage the entire IT-related onboarding and offboarding process.
- Continuously develop the self-service knowledge base and create clear, practical guides for employees.
- Plan and coordinate the procurement of hardware and IT equipment with the IT team.
- Regularly inform employees about IT changes, known issues, new applications, and best practices.
- Participate in strategic IT initiatives, such as developing a device lifecycle policy, implementing VPN and SSO solutions, and standardizing software.
- Collaborate closely with HR and the IT team to develop a streamlined process for collecting feedback on IT support and onboarding.
- Identify recurring problems, analyze their causes, and develop sustainable solutions, standardized processes, or suitable automations.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in IT support, service desk, IT operations, or system administration.
- Solid practical experience in supporting macOS, Linux, and Windows.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting networks, applications, access rights, hardware, and peripherals.
- Familiarity with SaaS applications like Microsoft 365 and the Atlassian Suite.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management, MFA, and SSO.
- Ability to work independently, structured, and solution-oriented.
- Capacity to explain technical contexts clearly and in a service-oriented manner.
- Ability to think beyond immediate troubleshooting and develop sustainable processes, documentation, or automations for recurring issues.
- Experience with scaling IT onboarding processes is ideal.
- Experience supporting hybrid teams is ideal.
- Experience with simple scripts or no-code automations is ideal.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and enthusiasm for their practical application in daily work.
