About the Role

The Product Associate Director, Private Assets role is within HSBC's Securities Services business line, focusing on driving the growth of the Private Assets product. This involves active participation in sales and client activities, product roadmap design and execution, and robust product management. The role has a global focus with emphasis on UK, European, and US clients.

Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen the product management function for Private Assets in Securities Services.
  • Manage key internal and external business partners and vendors contributing to the product.
  • Assist with efficiency and enhancement initiatives in collaboration with colleagues in Asia and Europe.
  • Prepare product pricing strategies and maintain product rate cards.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales on client pitches, RFPs, due diligence meetings, and negotiations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Produce and update marketing and sales collateral, and lead its delivery to clients and stakeholders.
  • Work with various teams including Private Assets Product, broader Product team, Senior Business Management, Sales, Operations, Product Delivery, IT, and external partners to drive business growth and manage the product.
  • Design, maintain, and enhance operating models for Private Assets, optimizing benefits from global Centres of Excellence and regional Hub and Spoke structures.
  • Act as a key stakeholder and business subject matter expert for tactical and strategic change programs, ensuring accurate requirement capture and effective solutions for product profitability.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in the financial services industry with direct work in Private Assets funds (from Fund Service providers or related businesses).
  • In-depth knowledge of private asset classes including Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, and Infrastructure.
  • Thorough understanding of the private assets funds industry and the fund administration space for Private Assets.
  • Solid grasp of the technology and systems supporting the product, with direct knowledge of core Private Assets platforms.
  • Experience in client and sales-related scenarios, with the ability to lead client presentations and demonstrations.
  • Strategic mindset with strong conceptual, creative, and analytical content.
  • Energetic, results-focused, change agent with a strong work ethic.

Skills

  • Subject matter expert support for sales and client-related engagements.
  • Client-facing content and delivery (e.g., presentations, demonstrations, RFIs/RFPs).
  • Product roadmap development and execution.
  • Product management.
  • Sales pipeline development.
  • Client prospecting.
  • Knowledge of Investran, Yardi, Geneva, and other digital solutions is an advantage.
  • Understanding of evolving technology for Private Assets and digital solution implementation is an advantage.
