About the Role
The Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital (VPCH) is seeking a Temporary Cook C to prepare and cook meals for patients in a 25-bed hospital setting. This role involves menu review, food production, and maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Participate in menu review and food production.
- Assist with maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation.
- Operate slicers and knives.
- Perform cleaning duties, including dishwashing.
- Lift up to 60 lbs.
- Maintain organization in walk-in and dry storage areas.
- Assist with cleaning tasks.
- Supervise institutional residents or inmates in work situations.
Requirements
- Must pass a fingerprint-supported background investigation.
- Must undergo Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, DMV checks, and adult and child abuse registry checks.
- Must agree to finger-printing and background check requirements to be eligible for the position.
