About the Role

As an Import/Export Analyst at MKS Instruments, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, customers, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure seamless shipping and export processes. You will independently manage domestic and international shipments, adhering to all relevant import/export regulations, customs requirements, and foreign trade laws. This role reports to the Materials Manager.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with laws, import/export regulations, and controls, including necessary licenses for shipments.
• Collaborate with internal/external customers, foreign order management, freight forwarders, customs officials, and other functions to coordinate and manage shipping logistics.
• Work with carriers/freight forwarders for product shipment and prepare necessary documentation.
• Independently manage domestic and international order shipments.
• Create required national and international shipping and export documents and ensure proper attachment to shipments.
• Adhere to customs and foreign trade regulations, including US re-export law.
• Participate in the further development, design, and documentation of shipping and customs processes, as well as the creation/maintenance of relevant process descriptions.
• Monitor delivery dates, track shipments, and manage escalations for deviations.

Requirements

• Successfully completed commercial training in logistics, freight forwarding, foreign trade, or a comparable qualification.
• Relevant professional experience in import/export, shipping, or a comparable function.
• Very good German language skills and good English language skills.
• Analytical and meticulous work approach.
• Experience with import/export and shipping documentation.
• Proficient in using various digital tools, software applications, and systems.
• Structured, independent, and meticulous work style with strong organizational and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with internal and external contacts.
