About the Role

In this role, you will empower and steer a collaborative, high-performing team supporting reinsurance clients globally with their core system needs, focusing on DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance. You will own the delivery of cutting-edge implementations and take a leading role in our Centre of Excellence processes and team, supporting clients to optimize and maintain core processes while driving system enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with reinsurance clients to understand their business and technology strategy, analyze business and core reinsurance system requirements, and implement tailored technology and business process solutions.
  • Act as the liaison between strategic vision and practical execution, delivering pragmatic solutions to complex problems across the reinsurance value chain.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, positioning yourself and the team as reliable experts.
  • Present to and consult with senior stakeholders to guide key decision making around core system needs.
  • Drive the holistic management of reinsurance technology, including help desk support, bug triage and resolution, quality assurance, system and process enhancements, business analysis, developing custom analytics and MI solutions, and system administration.
  • Lead and support reinsurance platform projects, including system implementations, data migrations, interface build and enhancement, and rolling out new modules and upgrades.
  • Drive the design and implementation of in-house tools that add value to reinsurance clients and the team.
  • Assess team members' abilities and development needs, assign work accordingly, and provide constructive coaching and feedback.
  • Mentor consultants to increase industry-specific knowledge and practical experiences in London market, UK Insurance, and Reinsurance transformation.
  • Share expertise with the internal UK team and wider firm.
  • Provide guidance and advice to senior leadership on platform capabilities, best-practice architecture patterns, and implementation feasibility, efforts, and risks.
  • Actively interact with colleagues across the firm to ensure expertise is shared.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in an Insurance / Reinsurance / Insurtech or consultancy firm with exposure to Insurance / Reinsurance clients.
  • Completed a bachelor’s degree.
  • Highly knowledgeable around core reinsurance systems modules (e.g. SICS P&C, SICS Life, SICS Cede, Assure Re etc).
  • Hands-on experience with system administration/configurations.
  • Experience in target operating model and process design & development.
  • Experience in project and stakeholder management.
  • Proven experience of leading Agile delivery, working with Scrum, SAFe or other agile frameworks.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills to identify complex problems, consider them analytically, and conceptualize solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to present, moderate, and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team, taking responsibility for their delivery quality and coaching team members.
  • Proactive approach to work, anticipating client needs and concerns.
  • Highly structured, self-organized, and detail-oriented professional.
