About the Role
As Senior Marketing Executive or Marketing Manager in the DK Living team, you will help bring our books to readers everywhere, supporting campaigns that spark curiosity, build our brands, and connect with home cooks, gardeners, travelers, and lifestyle enthusiasts. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you will collaborate closely with colleagues across Marketing, PR, Editorial, and Sales to make every campaign creative and effective.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and deliver consumer marketing campaigns across digital, print and social media
- Work with authors, agents, and brand partners to maximise visibility and promotional opportunities
- Support on high-profile brand partnerships, and key project launches
- Brief and manage the creation of promotional assets, from social media content and POS to catalogues and video
- Collaborate with Head of Social & Digital and agencies to deliver paid advertising that drives pre-orders and book sales
- Deliver seasonal and brand campaigns and lead on backlist programmes that drive sustained sales
- Monitor and review campaign results and share insights to help shape future activity
- Regularly communicate plans with key stakeholders including Editorial, Sales Publicity and International teams
- Manage budgets, approvals, and timelines with care and attention to detail
- Support Head of Marketing on feedback for acquisitions, working on pitch materials where required
- Monitor competitor activity and marketing trends to inform new ways of reaching readers
Requirements
- Experience planning and executing marketing campaigns, within publishing
- An ability to leverage audience insights and data to inform marketing strategies
- Knowledge of and experience in running organic and paid for social media activity
- Creative and organised with a real enthusiasm for bringing ideas to life with guidance and support
- Enjoys working with others, with good time management skills to juggle multiple projects at once
- Commercially aware, interested in market trends, and thinking about how marketing can drive sales and engagement
- Comfortable analysing campaign results and suggesting creative approaches for next time
- A clear communicator with strong presentation skills who can quickly build strong relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders
