About the Role

Royal Canin is undergoing a major transformation program (EOS) to become Fit for Future. This 12-month assignment involves covering the daily responsibilities of the CPFR Manager for European Key Accounts (EKA), a unique business unit serving major pan-European online customers. The role offers a pan-European perspective, in-depth customer dynamics, and an agile environment. The successful candidate will manage daily collaborative customer planning, champion the benefits of CPFR, and build a business case for a permanent CPFR function.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and refine the CPFR process with assigned EKA customers to synchronize demand signals and commercial plans.
  • Serve as the primary supply chain point of contact for customer supply chain teams, leading collaborative reviews to resolve discrepancies.
  • Partner with customer planning teams to integrate inventory, promotions, and replenishment plans into the planning process and S&OP+ cycle.
  • Mitigate the "bullwhip effect" by aligning retail sell-through data with Royal Canin production constraints.
  • Build and maintain accurate customer-level demand forecasts using FutureMaster and advanced Excel models.
  • Apply advanced statistical forecasting methods and quantitative analysis to optimize baseline forecasts.
  • Translate customer-specific market intelligence and network changes into demand planning cycles.
  • Design, track, and share collaborative KPIs including Forecast Accuracy, Bias, OTIF, OSA, and Customer Inventory WoS.
  • Conduct deep-dive data analysis on inventory flow, safety stock, and service level failures to identify root causes.
  • Document and quantify financial benefits from the CPFR pilot to build a business case for a permanent CPFR function.
  • Collaborate with demand planning, Sales, Key Account Managers, and Logistics to integrate customer promotions and launch volumes into S&OP/S&OE cycles.
  • Provide data-backed insights on customer-specific demands during internal S&OP alignment meetings.
  • Cover for the demand planner during absences or holidays.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, customer collaboration, or supply chain analytics within an FMCG, CPG, or Petcare environment.
  • Proven experience working directly with the supply chain or planning teams of major retail key accounts in Europe.
  • Advanced capability in MS Excel (Power Query, advanced data modeling, pivot tables, statistical formulas, and AI assistance).
  • Experience extracting data from various sources (data warehouses, customer data sharing sources, ERP systems, APIs, Power BI, Tableau, SQL or similar platforms).
  • Proficiency in data analysis including collecting, cleansing, validating, and transforming data.
  • Hands-on proficiency with specialized planning systems, specifically FutureMaster or a direct equivalent (e.g., SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis O9).
  • Strong foundational understanding of statistical forecasting methodologies and demand sensing techniques.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, able to present complex data insights simply.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills, comfortable driving change without direct authority.
