About the Role

You will work on a cloud-native SaaS platform serving financial institutions globally, built on a modern Java + Angular stack. The team is modernising a large-scale enterprise system from a JBoss monolith to a multi-tenant Spring Boot microservices architecture, with a strong emphasis on configuration-driven extensibility over code generation.

Responsibilities

Build production REST APIs with Spring Boot
Design and implement layered architecture
Utilize Hibernate ORM for entity mapping, relationship management, and query optimization
Work with Oracle or equivalent relational databases
Implement event-driven or pipeline-based processing
Perform unit and integration testing with JUnit 5, Mockito, Spring Test
Develop using Angular reactive forms, component architecture, and HTTP client
Write TypeScript code utilizing interfaces, generics, and strict mode
Implement schema-driven / configuration-driven UI rendering
Integrate with REST APIs and handle async state
Containerize applications using Docker
Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes
Automate CI/CD pipelines
Utilize Git for version control and code reviews
Understand and apply multi-tenant SaaS patterns
Design systems driven by configuration (YAML/JSON)
Implement extension/plugin architectures
Design API contracts, considering service boundaries, DTOs, and versioning
Own features end-to-end from backend API to frontend rendering
Build for configuration-driven approaches to minimize code changes per customer
Write comprehensive tests covering contracts and edge cases
Identify and address security and data-isolation risks during design
Contribute to code reviews and maintain codebase quality

Requirements

3+ years building production REST APIs with Spring Boot
Strong understanding of layered architecture
Experience with Hibernate ORM
Experience with Oracle or equivalent relational database
Experience with event-driven or pipeline-based processing
Experience with unit and integration testing (JUnit 5, Mockito, Spring Test)
Experience with Angular reactive forms, component architecture, and HTTP client
Experience with TypeScript (interfaces, generics, strict mode)
Experience with schema-driven / configuration-driven UI rendering
Experience integrating with REST APIs and handling async state
Experience with Docker
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS patterns
Comfortable with configuration-over-code design
Familiarity with extension/plugin architectures
Ability to reason about API contract design
Ability to own a feature end-to-end
