About the Role

As a Senior Consultant/Associate Team Lead, Reinsurance Core Systems, you will be a senior specialist within a collaborative, high-performing team supporting our reinsurance clients globally with their core system needs, focusing on DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance. You will lead cutting-edge implementations, including configurations, interfaces, and infrastructure, and provide hands-on client support to optimize core processes and drive system enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with reinsurance clients to understand their business and technology strategy, analyze business and core reinsurance system requirements, and implement tailored technology and business process solutions.
  • Act as the liaison between your team and clients on day-to-day delivery, thinking independently and communicating concisely.
  • Deliver high-quality pragmatic solutions to complex problems across the reinsurance value chain, applying in-depth knowledge, managing resources effectively, and meeting client objectives within agreed timelines.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, positioning yourself and the team as reliable experts delivering best-in-class recommendations.
  • Drive the holistic management of reinsurance technology, focusing on maintaining a robust system for consistent business activities with minimal interruptions.
  • Provide help desk support, bug triage and resolution, quality assurance, system and process enhancements, business analysis, developing custom built analytics and MI solutions, and system administration activities.
  • Support reinsurance platform projects including system implementations, data migrations, interface build and enhancement, and rolling out new modules and upgrades.
  • Contribute quality output and collaborate proactively with colleagues to achieve team results.
  • Support the design and implementation of in-house tools that bring additional value to reinsurance clients and the team.
  • Suggest improvements to Centre of Excellence processes based on a sound knowledge of industry best practice.
  • Mentor and train junior consultants to increase industry-specific knowledge and practical experiences across London market, UK Insurance and Reinsurance transformation.
  • Share expertise with the internal UK team and wider.
  • Participate in internal initiatives (CSR, DE&I, recruitment, marketing) to shape the UK office.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-5 years' experience in an Insurance / Reinsurance / Insurtech or consultancy firm with exposure to Insurance / Reinsurance clients.
  • Must be willing to travel to client office(s) as per client requests.

Skills

  • Highly knowledgeable around core reinsurance systems modules (e.g. SICS P&C, SICS Life, SICS Cede, Assure Re etc).
  • Hands-on experience working with system administration/configurations.
  • Experience in target operating model and process design & development.
  • Project and stakeholder management.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills to identify complex problems, consider them analytically and conceptualize solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to provide peer coaching and guidance on expertise to junior colleagues.
  • Highly structured, self-organized and detail-oriented professional.
  • Experience working with DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance modules.
  • Experience working with API based integrations including DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance SOAP/REST APIs.
  • Proficient in SQL and in-depth understanding of the SICS data model and database.
  • Experience developing custom built analytics.
  • Experience working with reporting tools and solutions.
  • Experience building reports using SAP business objects for DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance.
  • Experience of data migration into DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance using the MTK utility (or other methods).
  • Experience with Agile delivery, working within Scrum or SAFe.
  • Comfortable operating within an agile environment with a wider delivery team.
