About the Role

We are looking for a Project Manager with a Buildings, Fit Out, and M&E background. This role manages the Supplier contract on behalf of the Project Client and Senior Project Managers, collaborating with HS2 and Supply Chain resources within the Integrated Project Team (IPT) to meet budget, time, and quality parameters.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill the duties and obligations of the NEC3 Project Manager on behalf of the Project Client and the Senior Project Manager.
  • Support the Senior Project Manager in effectively and efficiently managing construction contracts within an Integrated Project Team.
  • Support the Senior Project Manager in establishing, monitoring, and managing consistent contract management, including identifying and resolving emergent or systemic problems.
  • Manage and monitor contract performance.
  • Review and accept programme schedules.
  • Support the Senior Project Manager in proactively managing risks within the Integrated Project Team scope and mitigating HS2 programme level risks.
  • Undertake Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM) duties as delegated by the Client Representative.
  • Support the delivery of client-retained third-party works and services by interfacing with HS2 employees external to the Integrated Project Team.
  • Foster a collaborative culture that enables high performance by encouraging innovation and knowledge sharing between HS2, other Integrated Project Teams, and the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Experience of the entire project lifecycle including planning, procuring, developing, and implementing similar project activities.
  • Experience of leading and managing people, and working across functions and disciplines to deliver objectives.
  • Qualification in project management, engineering, commercial management, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK; certain time-bound visas are not accepted.
  • Must pass pre-employment checks including Nationality & Immigration Status, employment references, DBS, Financial, and Education checks.
  • Must be able to travel to site.
