About the Role

The Senior Product Manager – USDPT will shape and execute product strategy for Western Union’s digital asset products, focusing on digitizing the existing retail network and supporting adjacent market opportunities. This role involves partnering with various teams to define product strategy, scale adoption, and build reliable, user-focused digital asset products with superior customer experience and robust controls.

Responsibilities

Lead product strategy, vision, roadmap development, and execution across digital asset initiatives.
Define and manage requirements for digital payments, stablecoins, tokenization, and settlement solutions, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance.
Serve as a subject matter expert on digital assets, stablecoins, blockchain-enabled payments, and emerging industry trends.
Translate stakeholder feedback into product improvements that enhance customer experience, efficiency, and scalability.
Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams to deliver features and enhancements.
Identify operational risks, process gaps, and opportunities for scalable improvements.
Establish requirements for fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, compliance, and risk controls.
Monitor product performance, manage issue resolution, and drive continuous improvements through data-driven insights.
Drive ecosystem expansion by working with internal teams, external partners, and platform providers.
Partner directly with Western Union agents, regional teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, validate product-market fit, and prioritize roadmap investments.
Maintain operational documentation, controls, and knowledge-sharing practices.
Support platform readiness for wallet, card, settlement, and partner integration use cases.

Requirements

5+ years of Product Management experience in financial services, payments and remittances, product operations, or digital asset products.
2+ years of exposure to crypto, blockchain, stablecoins, tokenization, or DeFi.
Strong understanding of digital assets, global payment networks, card issuing, digital wallets, and settlement systems.
2+ years track record of launching products and driving operational improvement initiatives.
Experience with risk management, operational controls, fraud prevention, and incident response.
Strong technical acumen with the ability to work closely with engineering teams on APIs, blockchain integrations, digital wallets, user experience design, and modern application architectures.
Working knowledge of U.S. and global banking, financial services, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated experience owning customer-facing financial services products and translating customer feedback into roadmap priorities and product enhancements.
