About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Intern will support recruitment activities across corporate and retail functions in Japan, gaining hands-on exposure to end-to-end talent acquisition, candidate engagement, sourcing strategies, and recruitment operations. This role is crucial for delivering a positive candidate experience while supporting the Talent Acquisition team with administrative and operational recruitment tasks.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates, hiring managers, and interview panel members.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience and strengthen the employer’s brand.
- Proactively follow up with candidates regarding application status, including keeping candidates engaged while hiring decisions are in progress.
- Prepare and send candidate communications, including interview confirmations, follow-up messages, and rejection emails.
- Support LinkedIn sourcing activities to identify and engage potential candidates for open positions.
- Conduct talent sourcing through Japanese job boards, career sites, and professional networks.
- Maintain accurate candidate pipeline tracking and recruitment reports using Excel and internal tracking tools.
- Assist with candidate database management and talent pool development.
- Support recruitment administration, including invoice processing, vendor coordination, and documentation.
- Assist with Workday activities, including candidate creation, profile maintenance, and recruitment process administration.
- Assist the Talent Acquisition team with ad hoc projects and administrative duties.
Requirements
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Interest in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Retail, or Luxury Fashion industries.
- Proactive, positive, and eager-to-learn attitude.
