About the Role

Lead end-to-end logistics operations for Japan Henkel Consumer Business, ensuring optimal service, cost efficiency, process excellence, and alignment with regional/global strategies. Responsible for logistics cost, performance, transportation, and warehousing through innovative project leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day warehouse and transportation operations (inbound/outbound, inventory control, VAS) in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Manage 3PL partners to ensure service performance, cost control, and contract compliance.
  • Drive logistics planning including mid- to long-term capacity forecasting, budgeting, and KPI tracking.
  • Identify and implement logistics optimization initiatives (e.g., route optimization, load consolidation, warehouse relocation).
  • Collaborate closely with demand planning, sales, and marketing to ensure supply chain alignment.
  • Act as a key contact point for major retail customers, resolving escalations and fostering customer satisfaction.
  • Team management & People development.
  • Lead logistics projects such as SAP/ERP upgrades, warehouse transitions, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with APAC/Global teams on regional initiatives, compliance, and best practice sharing.
  • Ensure business continuity and risk mitigation (e.g., during system outages or external disruptions).

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain and Logistics.
  • Experience in FMCG warehouse operations or FMCG handling within a 3PL/contract logistics environment.
  • Proven people management experience with 3+ direct reports.
