About the Role
As an OT Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will join the IT & Security team responsible for maintaining High System Integrity Protection Scheme (SIPS) Performance at Waratah Super Battery. You will focus on establishing mature operational ownership of Akaysha's OT cloud and infrastructure platforms, improving OT platform resilience, and supporting efficiency of scale as new BESS assets are commissioned. Your expertise will directly influence the design, resilience, and security of infrastructure for significant battery energy storage assets.
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve OT cloud, identity and infrastructure platforms that support critical operational services across battery energy storage sites.
- Strengthen OT identity and access controls by managing privileged access, RBAC, reviews and least-privilege practices across critical systems.
- Manage OT server, virtualisation and infrastructure platforms through provisioning, patching, monitoring, lifecycle management and vendor engagement.
- Improve platform resilience through backup management, disaster recovery planning, recovery testing and continuous improvement of operational readiness.
- Support OT cyber security initiatives through infrastructure hardening, vulnerability remediation, compliance activities and audit support.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Azure cloud services, governance, security and hybrid infrastructure in complex operating environments.
- Strong knowledge of identity, authentication, privileged access and access governance across secure technology environments.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux servers, system hardening, patching and infrastructure lifecycle practices.
- Experience supporting VMware ESXi or similar virtualisation platforms, including performance, capacity and resilience.
- Experience with backup platforms, disaster recovery, recovery testing and resilience practices in critical infrastructure settings.
- Strong PowerShell or scripting capability, with experience improving infrastructure operations through automation.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation, standards, procedures and governance artefacts.
- Knowledge of cyber security controls, vulnerability management and compliance frameworks such as AESCSF or IEC 62443.
