About the Role

The Senior Director will oversee the Funds & Asset Management group’s coverage across all segments in NA, EMEA, and APAC. This role offers the opportunity to develop analytical and leadership capabilities within a growing sector, contributing to challenging and rewarding work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set strategic direction for the team and drive execution of key initiatives, including development of new rating methodologies, models, operational infrastructure, and research
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members, and support the group’s continued growth
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with investors, bankers, and fund managers; represent Fitch at industry events and webinars
  • Evaluate complex transactions involving funds and structured products, integrating quantitative modelling, qualitative analysis, and legal documentation review
  • Lead due diligence meetings with fund managers and lenders
  • Produce research on trends and developments across covered sectors
  • Chair rating committees and provide analytical guidance

Requirements

  • Solid experience in credit analysis, with exposure to funds or structured finance a plus
  • Proven experience managing teams and delivering multi-stakeholder complex projects
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound academic track record to at least first university degree level, preferably in finance, economics, statistics, accounting, or computer science
