About the Role
We are looking for a new team member for the workshop of Berliner Straßenbahn in Marzahn. The classification in TV-N Berlin will be based on professional experience. We are the heartbeat of Berlin! Responsibilities
- Independently carry out maintenance and repair work on components and systems in tram vehicles.
- Perform wheel profile correction using a CNC-controlled lathe (Sinumerik control).
- Undertake repairs and troubleshooting of tram vehicles and assemblies after technical malfunctions or accidents.
- Carry out dismantling, modification, and installation work of new components as part of modernization or improvement projects for the vehicle fleet.
- Conduct test and acceptance drives, provided the appropriate qualification is held.
- In operational service, potentially troubleshoot vehicles on the route during passenger operation, participate in recovery operations of external vehicles in the route area, or recover damaged or derailed trams or persons using appropriate technology and additional training.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in a metal technology training occupation (e.g., cutting machine operator, turner, industrial mechanic, locksmith, or comparable vocational training).
- Knowledge of operating CNC-controlled machine tools.
- Experience in maintenance processes.
- Unrestricted suitability for shift work is a further necessary requirement.
- Valid driver's license class B.
