About the Role
Lead enterprise-wide cost management and profitability analysis, including manufacturing costs, and deliver actionable insights to support executive decision-making. Engage in key business projects and strategic initiatives from their inception, providing financial guidance, overseeing project progress, and driving KPI management to help achieve organizational objectives and enhance enterprise value.
Responsibilities
- Manage and analyze company-wide costs to support target profitability levels during forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of operational efficiency initiatives.
- Act as a Finance Business Partner for Operations, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Order Management.
- Contribute to value creation by participating in large-scale projects and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain and execute standard costing processes in SAP S/4HANA.
- Provide cost and profitability information to support pricing strategies.
- Analyze manufacturing variances and ensure accuracy of costing master data.
- Identify opportunities to improve production line productivity and reduce unit manufacturing costs.
- Serve as the gatekeeper for company-wide capital investment projects.
- Lead the capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgeting process and monitor project execution.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably within a multinational environment.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in management accounting, controlling, and cost accounting.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and a strong aspiration to take on leadership responsibilities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions and contribute effectively within team environments.
- Must have valid work authorization in Japan.
