About the Role

This role is for a Consultant within the Strategic Analytics & Insights department, focusing on leading overseas multi-country surveys primarily for major Japanese consumer goods manufacturers. The position involves managing survey projects from design to report creation, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and providing marketing solutions to solve business challenges and support management decisions. This is an opportunity to leverage marketing research experience in a global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-country survey projects for major Japanese consumer goods manufacturers.
  • Manage all aspects of survey projects including questionnaire creation, tabulation planning, coordination with project managers, overseas NIQ offices, and internal tabulation teams.
  • Analyze results, create reports, and deliver presentations.
  • Collaborate with team members on deliverables and conduct final reviews.
  • Liaise with clients for coordination and interim reporting.
  • Plan and execute overseas ad-hoc surveys (quantitative and qualitative) for the same clients.
  • Potentially conduct surveys for other clients during non-peak periods.
  • Conduct desk research using the internet and gather information on the latest survey solutions.
  • Handle internal administrative tasks such as order processing and invoicing.

Requirements

  • Over 7 years of work experience in private companies.
  • Over 5 years of practical experience in marketing research at a market research company.
  • Experience conducting overseas quantitative surveys (multi-country surveys preferred, offline surveys a plus).
  • Experience in corporate negotiation (liaising with clients and suppliers).
  • Experience in leading projects and operations by coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • PC skills: Proficient in Excel (basic functions, chart creation) and PowerPoint.
  • Native-level Japanese proficiency.
  • English proficiency allowing for business conversations with foreign staff (目安 TOEIC 850~).
  • Experience using data tabulation software or data analysis tools like SPSS is desirable.
  • Experience managing subordinates is desirable.
