About the Role
State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to handle accident and weather-related claims for homeowners, commercial properties, and large losses. This role utilizes technology to enhance claim handling and customer experience, blending human expertise with digital tools. You will be the primary contact for policyholders, explaining coverage, estimating damages, and guiding them through the claims process with exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for residential and commercial claims.
- Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other parties to gather information and resolve claims efficiently.
- Interact with parties who express strong emotions or concerns about ongoing inspections or claim resolutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support the claims handling process.
- Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
- Evaluate coverage and policy terms to determine claim validity and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits, considering policy provisions, industry standards, and company guidelines.
Requirements
- Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions.
- Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately.
- Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology and apply that knowledge accurately.
- Ability to effectively interact with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to move claims forward efficiently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to handle difficult/emotional conversations with a customer-minded focus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in using mobile/desktop tools to document and support claims both in the field and remotely.
- Physical agility for frequent lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, navigating roofs, and crawling in tight spaces.
- May be required to complete Rope and Harness Safety Training.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Employees must successfully complete all required training, including applicable proficiency, licensing exam(s), Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks, and background checks.
- Candidates may be asked to participate in additional pre-employment testing.

Salary/Compensations
- $78,862.06 - $112,500.00
- Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
