About the Role

The NSW Police Force (NSWPF) is seeking 4 x GIPA Case Officers for the InfoLink GIPA Team within the Office of the General Counsel. This role coordinates the implementation of information access legislation, assesses applications, collaborates with stakeholders, and makes decisions on information release.

Responsibilities

• Assess applications for information release.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders.
• Make decisions regarding the release of information in accordance with legislation and associated policies and procedures.
• Work in a high-volume transactional environment.
• Manage complex enquiries in a professional and customer-focused manner.
• Review, interpret, and apply legislation to achieve an outcome.
• Make decisions or recommendations regarding the release of NSWPF information.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen.
• Successful candidate will be required to undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check.
• Successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
