About the Role
Lead business development across pharma, diagnostics, and synthetic biology, with selective involvement in biodefense. Define how Radical Numerics brings frontier AI research into the life sciences market by identifying partners, use cases, and structuring complex deals in a pioneering commercialization environment.
Responsibilities
- Own business development strategy and execution across pharma, diagnostics, and synthetic biology.
- Build relationships with senior executives, scientific leaders, and other decision-makers across the industry.
- Understand partner needs and translate research capabilities into compelling commercial opportunities.
- Structure and close partnerships spanning research collaborations, licensing, platform access, data, and co-development.
- Develop new deal structures suited to an AI research lab rather than a traditional therapeutics company.
- Work closely with researchers and product leaders to evaluate opportunities and shape partner programs.
- Build the business development function and support biodefense partnerships operationally when needed.
Requirements
- Executive-level business development experience in life sciences, with a track record of closing meaningful deals.
- A strong network across pharma, diagnostics, synthetic biology, or adjacent industries.
- Excellent judgment in structuring and negotiating complex partnerships.
- The scientific and technical fluency to represent an AI research lab credibly.
- An ability to uncover customer needs and turn emerging capabilities into clear value propositions.
- Highly adaptable, entrepreneurial, and comfortable charting new territory.
- Excitement about building a generational company and pioneering how AI is commercialized in life sciences.
