About the Role
The Commercial Analyst plays a key role in driving insight-led decision making across the APAC region. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to deliver high-quality analytics, commercial insights and performance management that accelerate revenue growth and improve profitability. The Commercial Analyst will support strategic planning, optimise spend effectiveness, and enhance commercial processes and tools across the region.
Responsibilities
- Analyze brand, channel and customer performance to identify revenue, gross profit, mix and profitability drivers, recommending actions to improve commercial outcomes.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance on budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, pricing, trade spend, AMP investment and value chain analysis.
- Evaluate pricing, promotions, distribution, ROS and commercial initiatives to identify growth opportunities, manage risks and support strategic decision-making.
- Support annual planning, monthly and quarterly performance reviews, business cases and commercial initiatives aligned to growth and profitability targets.
- Analyze COGS, freight, SG&A and commercial spend to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve spend effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement across commercial processes, reporting and tools, while supporting finance controls, building commercial capability and contributing to a high-performance culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field.
- 3+ years’ commercial finance, FP&A, revenue management or analytics experience.
- Liquor, or FMCG experience highly preferred.
- Exposure to distributor and direct route-to-market models across APAC.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, with experience across P&L, performance reporting and turning data into actionable insights.
- Advanced Excel and strong Power BI, Tableau or similar data visualisation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence through commercial insight.
- Highly organised, with strong planning and time-management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience in trade spend, pricing, revenue growth management or commercial performance is highly regarded.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning, with a strong focus on driving growth and profitability.
