About the Role

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking Campus Fellows to support the Texas Together 2026 Coordinated Campaign. Fellows will mobilize campus and youth voters, build volunteer infrastructure, and gain hands-on organizing experience. This role is crucial for increasing voter turnout and contributing to the party's long-term goals in Texas. The position runs from September 8 to November 6, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Organize voter contact events: Plan and lead weekly events on campus to educate and turnout voters.
• Capacity building: Collaborate with campus organizations and personal networks to recruit volunteers.
• Represent the campaign on campus: Serve as a primary voice of the campaign to supporters, volunteers, and voters.
• Maintain data integrity: Ensure timely and accurate data entry for voter contact events.
• Creative organizing: Develop creative digital and in-person tactics for voter contact.
• Report results: Provide regular, accurate reporting on voter contact, with increased frequency during GOTV.
• Learn: Develop personal skills, cross-pollinate ideas, and grow as an organizer.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled at a Texas College or University for the Fall 2027 semester.
• Commitment to the Texas Democrats mission, values, goals, and objectives.
• Task and time management skills.
• Self-starter who shows strong initiative.
• Must be passionate about mobilizing young voters.
• Strong effective verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Access to a phone and laptop computer.
• Comfortable working and interacting with students and staff in-person.
