About the Role
The HR Administrator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the HR department, employees, and management. This role is responsible for completing a variety of HR administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate employee records, organizing documentation, supporting employee requests, and assisting with day-to-day HR activities. The position will also support front desk operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring compliance with employment legislation and maintain accurate HR documentation and employee files.
- Support HRIS updates, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Help with internal and external audits, including documentation requests and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with recruitment agencies and assist with onboarding and new hire documentation.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and assist HR Generalists with projects.
- Organize, sort, and maintain employee records in both paper and digital formats.
- Support the registration of temporary employees in the HRIS system.
- Assist with onboarding documentation and coordinate with recruitment agencies.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including reports and records management.
- Handle sensitive employee information with strict confidentiality.
- Review and manage temporary employees’ timesheets, including adjustments and follow-ups.
- Manage and track employee lockers and uniforms.
- Assist with the planning and organization of company events and employee activities.
- Provide backup support to the Receptionist by greeting visitors, answering calls, and coordinating mail.
- Support the smooth day-to-day operations of the front office.
- Assist with other HR-related tasks, projects, and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of HR and/or administrative support experience
- Front desk or reception experience is an asset
- Previous experience in an office environment preferred
- Experience with Dayforce is an asset
- Basic knowledge of HR practices and document handling
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
