About the Role
The Group Leader supports COMPASS, SONYC, Beacon, and Cornerstone programs by supervising classroom-based afterschool activities for youth ages 5 to 13. This role focuses on creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth while supporting program staff with daily operations and activity implementation.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors based on program needs and weather conditions.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- May require prolonged standing and walking during program hours.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for portions of the day.
- Ability to communicate clearly and exchange accurate information.
- Ability to observe details at close range.
- Must pass required reference checks and background clearances as required by DOH, DOE, DYCD, and UAU.

Experience Level
- Minimum of two years of experience working directly with children ages 5 to 13.
- At least one year of experience in a classroom, daycare, or school-based setting.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree preferred
Salary/Compensations
- $17.50 - $19.00 Hourly
