About the Role

Responsibilities
- Identify sales opportunities for Equities (Cash) into existing Institutions (Long Only) and Hedge Funds investment firms
- Grow deep and broad customer relationships within our Institutional Clients to enhance the HSBC franchise and generate value added business
- Maintain accountability for building and converting a pipeline of growth opportunities in line with assigned targets and within profitability guidelines
- Assist the team in the efficient marketing of products to their client base and in achieving both Financial and Qualitative annual objectives to their client base
- Share relevant market, customer and counter-party intelligence with colleagues in the HSBC network, in order that the group derives maximum benefit from its networking potential
- Seek opportunities to work with and promote other areas of HSBC, in particular Research and ECM deals
- Maintain and enhance the reputation of MSS in the marketplace through external relationships, building a network of market intelligence with key industry participants and influencers
Requirements
- Able to demonstrate the appropriate level of knowledge and experience of Equity Products and how they are sold
- Have a high level of knowledge of the structures of Institutional Client and Hedge Fund investment firms
- Have a strong qualitative and quantitative analysis capability and used to working with complex financial data
- High level of commercial awareness to be able to work with various sources of information to produce easily digestible reports and presentations
- Have a firm understanding of the Risk and Control and Regulatory governance of Global Markets
- Possess very good stakeholder management skills, coupled with a professional confidence that engender the view of a ‘Trusted Partner’ across a varied internal and external audience
- Demonstrate really good time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to managing multiple tasks often with conflicting priorities
