About the Role

The USRM Data Science group at Liberty Mutual develops innovative data, analytics, and technology solutions to advance the US Retail Markets business. This cross-functional group collaborates across the company to deliver impactful analysis and drive new ways of working. The Property & Specialty Product Design & Modeling department focuses on creating industry-leading pricing and underwriting models, turning data science insights into business value.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing the pricing programs deployment pipeline from modeling to product launch in coordination with the Deployments team.
Apply sophisticated analytics techniques to manipulate large structured and unstructured data sets to generate insights for business decisions.
Identify and test hypotheses, ensuring statistical significance, for building and developing predictive models for business application.
Translate quantitative analyses and findings into accessible visuals for non-technical audiences.
Enable clear trade-offs between choices with a view into likely outcomes.
Customize analytic solutions to specific stakeholder needs.
Collaborate with other data science teams to implement new pricing programs using Python packages.
Take responsibility for smaller components of projects of moderate-to-high complexity.
Support property and specialty pricing programs, including building and adjusting models due to state restrictions, creating supporting documents, and responding to DOI objections.
Engage with the data science community and participate in cross-functional working groups.

Requirements

Solid knowledge of predictive analytics techniques and statistical diagnostics of models.
Advanced knowledge of predictive toolset; expert resource for tool development.
Demonstrated ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely.
Value-driven perspective regarding understanding of work context and impact.
