About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join the Reserve Bank of Australia as a Principal Solutions Architect for our Cyber Security Program. You will work with architects and the Cyber team to strengthen our security posture and improve responsiveness to vulnerabilities and threats.
Responsibilities
- Define solutions architectures, patterns, standards, high-level designs, and impact assessments for initiatives and/or systems in the Bank with respect to the program scope.
- Take ownership of Architecture deliverables for Conceptual and Solution Architecture documents and ensure stakeholder agreement and endorsement.
- Work with analysts to define business requirements and with subject matter experts to develop high-level designs aligned with enterprise architecture, patterns, and practices.
- Collaborate and provide technical leadership and consultancy with project managers and impacted business stakeholders in scoping initiatives, ensuring alignment with architectural objectives and principles.
- Drive Architectural Certification process to completion for key project deliverables.
- Identify, document, and proactively communicate risks and impacts across projects and systems.
Requirements
- Experience in producing Solution Architectures for complex solutions (including infrastructure, cloud, on-premises and hybrid solutions).
- Demonstrated understanding of automation in CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
- Understanding of Architecture design that improved controls based on vulnerability management lifecycle.
- Proven background in Software/Infrastructure automation and understanding of the tools used.
- Excellent communicator capable of bridging the gap between business value and technical delivery.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, influence and persuade peers and senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of strategic and new and emerging technologies and their practical application.
- Understanding of relevant models, notations and tools.
- Strong experience in resolving solution design and architecture contentions.
- Sound experience in architectural disciplines across a range of complex projects and technologies.
