About the Role

As an On Call Sportsbook Mutuel Clerk, you’ll play a key role in creating an exciting and seamless experience for our guests. Your attention to detail and friendly service will help set the tone for a fun and energetic environment. With your strong collaboration skills and guest-centric mindset, you will help ensure the smooth operation of the sportsbook.

Responsibilities

• Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for race and sports wagers in accordance with department policy and procedures and ensure compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statues and regulations
• Maintain a cash bank for his/her shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary
• Stock Race & Sports book Writer/Cashier's stations with adequate supplies; keep all stations neat and clean
• Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets and payoffs
• Maintain and reconcile bank for assigned shift, following established cash-handling policies and procedures
• Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests
• Create and enter player tracking cards
• Ensure the protection of customer’s rewards and adherence to credit lines
• Notify management of escalated or prevalent guest issues/concerns and any apparent suspicious activity

Requirements

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Prior Sportsbook or cash handling experience preferred
