About the Role
National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a Revenue Analyst to support Great Britain's energy system transformation. This role involves delivering high-quality revenue accounting, forecasting, and reporting to aid decision-making and resolve stakeholder queries.
Responsibilities
- Support the Revenue Accountant with revenue financials, including actuals, budgets, forecasts, and regulatory returns.
- Assist with the month-end revenue process, ensuring data completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Account for and understand revenue timing adjustments.
- Support the review of revenue-related balance sheet positions and reconcile control accounts.
- Prepare financial reports for revenue and provide commentary on key variances.
- Address revenue finance queries across the business.
- Ensure proper execution of all functional controls and escalate deviations.
- Act as a revenue subject matter expert and support ad-hoc projects, assessing impacts of regulatory changes.
- Build knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Visa sponsorship may not be available and will be considered based on business needs.
- Experience in management accounting/reporting, including planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Attention to detail and willingness to research NESO licenses and codes.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk, and internal control frameworks.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in a regulated business is preferred.
