About the Role

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a Revenue Analyst to support Great Britain's energy system transformation. This role involves delivering high-quality revenue accounting, forecasting, and reporting to aid decision-making and resolve stakeholder queries.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Revenue Accountant with revenue financials, including actuals, budgets, forecasts, and regulatory returns.
  • Assist with the month-end revenue process, ensuring data completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Account for and understand revenue timing adjustments.
  • Support the review of revenue-related balance sheet positions and reconcile control accounts.
  • Prepare financial reports for revenue and provide commentary on key variances.
  • Address revenue finance queries across the business.
  • Ensure proper execution of all functional controls and escalate deviations.
  • Act as a revenue subject matter expert and support ad-hoc projects, assessing impacts of regulatory changes.
  • Build knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Visa sponsorship may not be available and will be considered based on business needs.
  • Experience in management accounting/reporting, including planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to research NESO licenses and codes.
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk, and internal control frameworks.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in a regulated business is preferred.
