About the Role

84 Lumber is hiring immediately for a full-time Truck Driver responsible for delivering material to customer job sites, forklift operation, and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. This role offers opportunities for growth within a family-owned company.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver material to customer job sites
  • Operate a forklift
  • Maintain the lumber yard and warehouse
  • Build loads for delivery and unload freight including lumber and building supplies
  • Obtain forklift training, certification, and operation
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse
  • Communicate delays or discrepancies with management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
  • Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle
  • Provide an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or certificate as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Complete a driver's road test and be issued a valid and current certificate of driver's road test, or its equivalent, in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Possess a valid state-issued driver's license and safe driving record
