About the Role
The Executive Assistant (EA) will perform administrative and operational duties supporting the projects and initiatives of the Executive Pastor of Congregational Ministries. The EA must maintain confidentiality, assist in crisis situations, and serve as a resourceful assistant to interface with various church teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive administrative support to the Executive Pastor of Congregational Ministries related to ministry operations.
- Manage email, Slack communications, and calendars.
- Arrange travel and accommodations.
- Create and maintain files and databases.
- Capture and collate meeting decisions and action items.
- Coordinate Central Team-wide and leadership team events.
- Participate in hiring decisions and facilitate onboarding/offboarding for Central Team staff and residents.
- Handle confidential information with care and dignity.
- Provide Central Team administrative support, including team care, calendar management, and communication facilitation.
- Provide care coordination for the Central Team.
- Support special projects as assigned.
- Attend, serve, and lead at all required church events and activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years experience in an administrative support role or as a ministry associate.
- Strong knowledge of Austin Stone programs and ministries.
- Social media experience is a plus but not required.
- Employees are expected to become Partners (members) of the church.
- Employees must understand, affirm, and adhere to the church's Affirmation of Faith, Bylaws, and Culture Map.
- Employees must possess the character qualifications of biblical leadership.
- Must participate in a child safety screening and training process upon hire.
