About the Role
The Visual Merchandising Manager – East Coast leads a team of Visual Merchandisers to deliver a consistent, elevated brand presentation across HUGO BOSS retail stores, shop-in-shops and outlets on the East Coast. This role sets the visual strategy for the region, ensures flawless execution of windows and in-store merchandising, and partners closely with retail and corporate teams to drive commercial results and a best-in-class customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Directly oversee the New York Metro Market as the key point of contact.
- Manage and provide clear direction to a team of Visual Merchandisers across the East Coast.
- Ensure the team rigorously follows company visual standards, guidelines and brand principles.
- Coach and develop team members, conduct regular feedback sessions and support their growth in styling, merchandising and project management.
- Develop strong relationships with store management teams and Retail corporate partners to understand store needs and business priorities.
- Collaborate with Retail Operations, Merchandising, Store Planning and Marketing to align visual strategies with commercial objectives.
- Act as the key visual merchandising contact for East Coast stores and wholesale shops.
- Oversee the elevation and maintenance of a consistent, premium visual presentation across US retail stores and wholesale shops, with a primary focus on the East Coast network.
- Ensure visual guidelines are adapted appropriately to different store formats, footprints and customer profiles, while maintaining brand consistency.
- Deliver stylistically compelling mannequin looks across all HUGO BOSS product classifications (e.g., tailoring, casualwear, athleisure, accessories).
- Review and approve the teams looks to ensure high standards of styling, fit, composition and color balance.
- Train and support store teams in visual competency, including zoning, product placement, fixture maintenance and mannequin styling.
- Implement training tools (workshops, store visits, digital training content) to embed best-in-class standards.
- Monitor store execution and provide ongoing coaching to build a strong VM culture in the region.
- Support cross-functional teams in all store openings, relocations, expansions and refits on the East Coast.
- Lead or oversee VM planning and execution for new store setups, ensuring alignment with global concepts and local needs.
- Participate in project meetings to represent VM requirements and timelines.
- Manage the visual travel budget for the East Coast VM team, optimizing travel plans for impact and efficiency.
- Track and report on budget usage and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
- Coordinate the team calendar, including store visits, installations, openings, showrooms and key business events.
- Oversee installation and execution of all seasonal windows and in-store visual elements in the region.
- Ensure timely and accurate implementation of global concepts, local adaptations and promotional campaigns.
- Supervise the setup and ongoing maintenance of the showroom for seasonal markets (4 per year).
- Partner with Merchandising, Sales and Marketing to ensure the showroom reflects current collections and strategic priorities.

- $95,000 - $105,000
