About the Role

Adyen is a financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products. We are seeking a Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager to own, scale, and lead our Financial Sponsor (PE/VC) Partnerships channel, managing a portfolio of high-value sponsors, defining regional strategy, and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the commercial go-to-market strategy for a portfolio of PE/VC firms in North America.
  • Design repeatable partnership motions for sponsor engagement, portfolio mapping, and co-selling.
  • Directly cultivate and scale relationships with Tier-1 mega-funds, large-cap PE firms, and influential Operating Partners.
  • Educate PE Deal and Operating teams on how Adyen's platform improves Portco EBITDA, optimizes working capital, and accelerates international expansion.
  • Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Product, Marketing, and Account Management to ensure seamless execution.
  • Own the commercial target for defined PE/VC portfolio.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including partner-originated pipeline, closed-won revenue, and channel ROI to senior executive stakeholders.
  • Serve as a player-coach to uplevel and mentor junior/mid-level Commercial Partnership Managers on the team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of commercial experience in fintech, enterprise software sales, corporate development, or consulting.
  • 4+ years of direct experience working within or selling to the Private Equity / Venture Capital sponsor ecosystem.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the payments value chain (merchant acquiring, gateway, card issuing, and embedded financial services).
  • A strong, existing Rolodex of relationships with Private Equity Operating Partners, portfolio managers, or mid-to-large-cap corporate decision-makers.
  • Highly polished presenter capable of building trust and driving strategic alignment with C-suite executives, PE Managing Directors, and portfolio board members.
  • Comfort using financial models, data-driven frameworks, and EBITDA impact analyses to build compelling business cases for sponsors.

Salary/Compensations

  • OTE ranges from $220,000-$295,000 inclusive of base salary and commercial bonus.
  • Additional equity component.
