About the Role

Provides fast, friendly service to all customers and is responsible for the operation of the meat department in the absence of the meat manager. Ensures quality and freshness of product to promote optimal sales, while adhering to all sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Consistently provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
• Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon fulfilling requests.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
• Cut meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers, and grinders.
• Operate the meat department in the absence of the meat manager.
• Ensure proper wrapping, weighing, labeling, and displaying of all meat merchandise.
• Adhere to all company meat department standards, including case layout and trim specifications.
• Adhere to proper sanitation and temperature guidelines, including corporate and state inspection standards.
• Maintain grind logs and meat logs consistent with store policy.
• Receive all meat merchandise.
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties assigned by management.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
• Ability to pass a cutting test.
