About the Role
The Omicron chapter of Tri Delta is seeking Dining Assistants to help manage and maintain daily meal service, the dining room, and the kitchen. This role is part of Tri Delta's Park Street Properties Team and is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Promptly notify supervisor and/or house director of any maintenance problems or unsafe conditions.
- Observe kitchen, dining and chapter rules.
- Refrain from the use of alcohol or drugs in and around the chapter territory.
- Maintain a professional relationship with all chapter members and residents, employees, and volunteers.
- Notify supervisor and/or house director of any accidents or injuries while on duty, immediately.
- Assist in cleaning the dining room.
- Assist in taking out trash daily.
- Assist in washing dishes after each meal where needed.
- Assist in waiter and table bussing as needed.
- Properly care for supplies.
- Perform general duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 0 to 1+ years of related experience.
- Skills to operate a computer including web browsing, email, and Office products.
- Meet specified physical requirements of lifting no more than 40 lbs, standing on the tile floor for long periods of time, and use of hands to handle and control tools.
- Ability to speak and read English.
- Ability to use proper discretion and independent judgment in carrying out the primary roles and responsibilities of the position.
